The world-wide recognition she has earned is due to her portrayal of Faora who is the undestructible villain in 2013's Superman film Man of Steel. She also played Agnes Nielsen in Dark on Netflix. The stage work began for her by playing Jeanne d'Arc, in a stage production in school. At the age of 16 she won the principal role in International Munich Art Lab's Hip Hopera. Traue performed on stage in Germany Europe, and New York City for the duration of four years on the tour. Traue was later featured in film and TV movies like Kleinruppin Forever Berlin Am Meer, Phantomschmerz and Kleinruppin Forever Berlin. Traue was cast as the female lead in Pandorum (2008) which is the sci-fi/thriller film directed by Christian Alvart along with Travis Milloy. The film also features Dennis Quaid and Ben Foster. Robertson appeared in a variety of films and television shows, including Diggstown(Vivian Jefferson 2021-2022), The Blackening Block Party (Keke McQueen, 2022) along with others. Her family was from Jamaica and was born in New York. Her parents were originally from Jamaica however they moved into New York. She earned a BSc (Bachelor of Science) in Chemistry at Stony Brook University.
